Our Story
Ray Mitchell, the person behind Hobby Halloween, is an HIY (Haunt it yourself) Hobbyist. He began his haunting journey at nine years old by assisting his father with the local church haunt setup. He was hooked.
Ray is far from your typical haunter who simply shops for props at local stores—he brings expertise in engineering, electronics, and programming, along with a passion for woodworking to build his own unique props.
In February 2024, Ray launched the Hobby Halloween YouTube Channel and Brand, through which he has supported fellow haunters in the community with their creative projects.
What does this mean for you? With years of experience, a desire to learn and create, and an eye for detail, Ray shares his experiences in prop development and haunt building with you!
